4. MOFA Legalization & International Acceptance

To utilize a Qatari Police Clearance Certificate for foreign civil procedures, international visa applications, or foreign employment:

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Attestation: The digital certificate must be presented to the MOFA Consular Affairs Department in Doha (or an authorized government service complex) for an official ink-stamp verification. Fee: QAR 100.
  • Foreign Embassy Legalization: Once stamped by MOFA Qatar, the document must be countersigned by the diplomatic embassy or consular mission of the destination country located in Doha.
  • Validity Horizon: Immigration authorities worldwide strictly calculate certificate age against the three-month statutory window stamped by CEID. Submissions beyond this timeframe are routinely rejected, requiring re-application.
